September 26, 2025

Welcome to Julia’s Corner! To find out more about the author, check out the About Me section here on my website!

Happy Friday everyone! The weeks have been going by SOOOO slowly. I’m happy it’s finally the weekend!! I started this new thing where every day there will be a writing prompt on my home page and some days (like today) I will be writing my blog based on that, but it’s mainly there to challenge you all to write something short every day. I might be biased, but writing is really the best medicine.

Today we’re talking about jobs we’d consider if money wasn’t an issue. Oh how I WISH this is how we could all live life- but instead we can dream about it! Let me know your dream jobs in the box:

Okay- now let me tell you mine:

  1. A performer (singer/songwriter)- For those of you that know me, I feel like this first one is a liiiittle obvious, but I would absolutely love to be a performer. I love to write songs and play them for my friends and family, and it is every song writer’s dream to have the words to their songs sung back to them so I think that would be pretty cool.
  2. Dachshund rescuer- One of my many obsessions is dachshunds. They are literally they cutest dogs ever and the ATTITUDEEE!!! They are so sassy and entertaining. How could you not love them??
  3. Pediatric Endocrinologist (specifically t1d)- If you read the About Me page, you know I’m type one diabetic (photo from diagnosis below), and I think it would be so wonderful and fulfilling to become a endo doctor for kids and help them through the same struggles I dealt with growing up. I was diagnosed at age five, so just old enough to barely remember life before diagnosis, but young enough to understand why it doesn’t really feel that cool to be called “robot girl” by your classmates (once also by a teacher). Obviously the money wouldn’t be the issue here, but I am not patient enough to go through medical school- we’ll let my boyfriend do that LOL.
  4. A rancher- Okay hear me out. I know my dad definitely just laughed out loud, but I’m talking just horses & maybe a cute pig or little goat or something. We grew up with lots of animals throughout our childhood (see Christmas card photo below), the only one missing was a horse. My heart just absolutely craves to be around wildlife & I especially love horses. They are just the best.

song of the day

Girl Of Constant Sorrow – Avery Anna

We love Avery Anna in this house and she just dropped this song today!! Go give it a listen!!

This song is a cover, originally written by Joan Baez.
